French heavy metal band Gojira is known for its complex and layered lyrics, and on their most recent LP, 2021’s ‘Fortitude’, they deliver some of their best, most cohesive work to date. Tracks like ‘The Chant’ and ‘Born for One Thing’ deliver inspirational hooks that, combined with their signature heavy metal sound, make for perfect workout hype jams. While there is a clear feeling of impending doom hanging over the album, the band maintains a sense of hope for the future of humanity.
